2018 Tian Shan travel: Part 27

2018 Tian Shan
August-September 2018 travel to Kazakhstan reviewed in 2021
Commentary from 2021
These posts originally coming from 26th of August 2018 are a small info before the big post about Charyn Canyon, about curiosities you sometimes find abroad.
First one is cucumber-flavoured Sprite. Huh? That’s right – cucumber flavoured. This was, apparently, pretty normal in Russia. To me (and other Poles) this is surprising, probably because the first thing that comes to our minds when we hear “cucumber” are pickles – this isn’t that, it’s about the fresh vegetable which has a sweet watery scent. This Sprite had its normal flavour, but it had the scent of freshly sliced cucumber. Unusual, but cool.
Second one is post boxes. They gained huge popularity in Poland (known as paczkomaty – parcel-o-mats, to translate), they’re cool thing. I noticed Kazakhs had them too.
