Garden cress. Capillaries
Garden cress hatched from its seed and its first root is planting into the soil. The visible fluff are capillaries of the plant spreading laterally, so that it can gather first nutrients and more water, and start to work with soil bacteria. Soon it will shoot up a sprout, which is an edible spice. And which I will eat.
