2018 Tian Shan
August-September 2018 travel to Kazakhstan reviewed in 2021
Commentary from 2021
This post is a combination of two gallery posts from 21.08.2018. First one shows a district of Astana called “Barcelona”. I never visited the Catalan city, but I would assume that the Astana district is stylised after it. You be the judge. I liked how the city has districts in various themes, albeit they did look expensive to live in. The second post, if memory serves, shows the urban decorations from independence square or near the column (the one with golden eagle) and near a national museum. What I remember well is that I was there on Monday, when museums are closed. Bummer.
