Astana greeted me with buckets of heavy rain, and back then, on the streets, I remembered that I came to Kazakhstan for astronomical purposes, with a small telescope in my backpack. As I was annoyed by thick grey clouds and persistent rain, I noticed they have very unusually shaped trash bins in the city. They remind me of catadioptric telescopes. I assumed that such device matches what you could observe in there.
Obviously, it’s just a joke, and Astana was just a brief transit stop before my goal which was a day’s train travel towards the south.
